INCLEMENT

(poetry for the modern soul)

Guidelines for Submissions

All submissions must be original, previously unpublished and most importantly, your own work.
Plagiarism is something we take very seriously, and Inclement takes no responsibility for any
work submitted under your name which is then challenged by another author.

All copyright remains with the author.

You may feel free to post poems in the forum, but please be aware these works will not be eligible for publication in the magazine.

Submissions can be sent by post, or submitted by email.  Please refer to the Contacts
page for details. There is no limit on the amount of poems you can submit.

Typed submissions are strongly preferred.  We will consider handwritten work at the Editor’s
discretion but it must be clearly written.  Email submissions can be sent either in the body of the email, or in a Word document. Font, size and alignment are entirely up to you but unless the poem
is structured specifically, our current layout protocol is Ariel, 10 and align left.

Poetry in any form and on any subject is considered. We reserve the right to refuse work
that is graphically obscene, racist, homophobic or discriminatory on the grounds
of disability and religion.

Please put your name and address on every poem you submit!  Even in the most
organised office papers get shifted, paper clips lost and this may result in a poem being
attributed to the wrong author, or not published at all.

Poems will be edited for spelling etc. unless it is clear that a ‘typo’ is actually part of the work.

All postal submissions must have a self addressed envelope with the correct postage enclosed/attached.  The only exception to this is when an email address is supplied and
the unsuccessful submissions do not need to be returned.  Please DO NOT send your only copy.

Any poems sent without correct return postage will not be considered or returned.
